This is a portrait commission I finished recently. The actual picture of the girls is below. The subjects and I discussed their surroundings , expressions and overall coloring to make sure the portrait would be something that truly represented them. I strive to create portraiture not only as a representation of the subject, but also as a depiction of an imaginary world and situation the subject wants to be a part of. We can all take photographs and enlarge them, but how often can we be represented as what we want to be or imagine ourselves to be?
