The Csodaszarvas, MFA Graduate Thesis Project
I am exploring dualism, this reflexivity of the Self, especially through a kind of Joseph Campbell-esque hero’s quest of the journey in attempt to find the Self. The Csodaszarvas narrative is the mirror image, the reflection of the first narrative within the film, which are the performances of the 10 scout rules. These performances are all done by me, dressed in my Hungarian Girl Scout uniform, and it is my being that is divided into self and Other, setting up a dialogue of duality that is representative of internal/external, male/female, and alchemical/natural.
