Wedding, Formal and Art to Wear Dresses
When there's lightning - it always bring me down
Cause it's free and I see that it's me
Who's lost and never found
I cry for magic - I feel it dancing in the light
But it was cold - I lost my hold
To the shadows of the night
There's no sign of the morning coming
You've been left on your own
Like a Rainbow in the Dark
Oh yeah. After completing this dress I seriously considered keeping it.
It's truly a statement piece. You can become Ixchel, Goddess of the Rainbow and take any occasion by storm.
It so soft and wonderful to wear, like you can get dressed up and go out and look absolutely stunning in your most favorite and comfy sweater. it hugs the right curves, it's sexy as all that with that thigh high leg slit and it's the most comfortable dress you've ever worn. ever.
All the elements that make up this dress have gone through an evolution to all come together. The top is made from hand dying a vintage crochet halter top that I picked up years ago in a vintage shop in Chicago. The yarn is all remnants from other projects, little snippets and leftovers i had lying around for ages that i couldn't throw away, but never knew what to do with. Then i had this idea that maybe i could just start crocheting and see what happens. I never expected it would look this good. There's a bunch of different types of yarn in there, many that are really gorgeous boutique yarns. They are all different textures too. I left the ties hanging here and there because i personally love the added texture and interest they add to the overall look.
This dress went to a loving home in Australia.
