Hepaglyphic Symbol of Convergence
This is a performance where my parents took the photographs. Since I always do these pieces in California, this is the first time they got to see one in person. I did this in the fountain outside of the Cleveland Art Museum which is undergoing massive renovations. They are merging contemporary style architecture with the classical that was the older part of the museum. This body of work is about the juxtapositions, the things that are jammed together, that fit but not really. That is both a celebration and a mourning of some kind.
