Wedding, Formal and Art to Wear Dresses
This is a stunning example of poetry in motion, of a song at the end of a breeze, of art that encompasses life.
Soft and stretchy organic cotton jersey was hand dyed (by me) 5 times with a certain wrapping and tying technique i've developed over the years. Then, it was screenprinted with a dragonfly pattern multiple times to really achieve the effect of painting with the different mediums, combining into an array of details and overall effects that twist and turn as you move.
Hand dyed vintage lace is cut and layered for the bottom to help the dress move and i crocheted silver thread along the bottom to add just the right amount of sparkle. The top is crocheted baby alpaca and fully lined with the organic cotton and ties along the back as well as halter style to keep the dress securely in place.
